A.M. @rt is an artist based in Westchester, New York.

Self-taught and driven by constant desire to create, I’ve been exploring various mediums ranging from oil, acrylic paint, pencil drawing, ceramic to furniture and box making.

My love of wood as a material has been the focus of my work for many years. The beauty of fine veneers and solid hard wood as well as exploring burning techniques inspired by shou sugi ban have allowed me to create unique sculptures.

I am not focusing on ceramic work and discovering the versatile world of clay and glazing techniques. I have been learning and experimenting at the Clay Center in Port Chester and love the feel of community and richness of this environment.
